I graduated from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, with a degree in Hispanic Studies for Pre-Med. I was born in Germany, but I don't have an official "hometown" because I grew up in a military family. Both of my parents served in the Air Force and so the cheesy saying "Home is where the heart is" really applied to our family. And the older I get, the more I am realizing home is where Jesus is. Although one of my favorite places we have lived was in Newmarket, England! I am the oldest of three, I have two younger brothers, both who take great pride in knowing they are now much taller than their older sister!
I absolutely love coffee! Coffee is one of the most amazing gifts to us from the Lord. Pair a strong cup of coffee in a gorgeous mug, with a good book, some chocolate biscuits, a rainstorm, and you have my perfect day!
After growing up in Owensboro, Kentucky, Sam entered college seminary at Bishop Simon Bruté College Seminary in Indianapolis in 2012 for his home diocese of Owensboro. After two years, he discerned that God was calling him away from his discernment of the priesthood and moved onto campus at Marian University to pursue a degree in Theology. After graduation and starting his training with FOCUS, he was excited to hear about his placement at Wright State with a lot of family in the area and a new adventure ahead.
